Are you planning a trip to the Open’er Festival in Gdynia? If so – we have one piece of advice: book your accommodation as early as possible! Every year, we observe how just a few days after the announcement of the first headliners and the start of Early Bird ticket sales, the first apartment bookings begin in Sopot, Gdańsk, and Gdynia.

When do the first bookings for Open’er start?

At Lion Apartments, the first inquiries and bookings for the Open’er Festival dates appear already at the Early Bird ticket sales stage, which is even several months before the event itself. For many regular festival-goers, this has become an annual tradition: first the concert ticket, then an apartment by the sea.

Why is it worth booking accommodation in advance?

A wider choice of locations and apartments

By booking early, you have the possibility to choose an apartment suited to your needs – close to SKM, with a balcony, air conditioning, or an extra bedroom for a group of friends.

Better prices

Early bookings often mean more favorable rates. The closer to the festival, the lower the availability and higher the prices. This is a natural rule in the accommodation market during large events.

Peaceful trip organization

By booking accommodation several months before the festival, you avoid stress and frantic last-minute searches for “anything”.

Where is it worth staying during the Open’er Festival?

The most frequently chosen locations by our guests are:

  • Sopot – ideal for those who want to combine the festival with beach relaxation and evening nightlife.

  • Gdańsk – a great choice for people who want to explore the city and enjoy a rich culinary offer.

  • Gdynia – closest to the festival, although apartment availability here is the lowest and fills up fastest.

When is the last moment to book?

If you are planning a trip with a larger group or have specific requirements (e.g. separate bedrooms, balcony, parking space), it is advisable to book no later than early spring.

From our experience, April and May are the times when most of the best apartments are already taken, and availability is limited to single dates and less popular locations.

In summary – when is the best time to book an apartment for the Open’er?

✅ Best: right after the announcement of the first artists and the start of Early Bird ticket sales
✅ Safely: by the end of March
✅ Last call: by May (but expect a smaller selection)
