The terrain here is unique - perfectly suited both for comfortable recreational cycling routes and for truly mountainous races along the edge of moraine highlands.

Sopot and the Tricity area offer extensive sandy beaches, seaside islands with nature reserves, and green forests on moraine hills surrounding the cities. It is an ideal place for long walks. Hiking enthusiasts can take a walk along the coastline and reach from Gdańsk to the seaside districts of Sopot and Gdynia. Equestrian enthusiasts will surely be pleased by the fact that there is a huge, 40-hectare Hippodrome in Sopot – one of the most modern equestrian centers in Poland. It is a place with a rich tradition and over 100 years of history. Many riding schools operate on the Hippodrome grounds, offering horseback riding lessons for beginners as well as advanced riders. Trainers, in addition to teaching recreational riding, introduce all interested parties to the world of sport; they regularly organize competitions, thereby improving the skills of their pupils. Riding badge exams are also held on the Hippodrome grounds.

water activities

pools and winter swimming

Sea bathing is mainly enjoyed during the summer season when the weather is favorable, but cold water swimming, which involves taking cold baths at low temperatures, is becoming increasingly popular. In the Tricity area, the cold water swimming season starts every year in October, with meetings held weekly on Sundays in Sopot, Gdynia, and Gdańsk. For fans of less extreme experiences, we recommend nearby swimming pools during the winter months – Aquapark in Sopot or the indoor swimming pool.
