
Museum of the Second World War
On the Motława River, close to the historic city center, rises the interesting structure of the Museum of the Second World War. Due to historical events, this is a special place – located just three kilometers from the Westerplatte Peninsula. The museum conducts exhibition, educational, cultural-scientific, and research activities. It presents the Second World War from the perspective of contemporary politicians and civilians and is not limited solely to the experiences of Poles.
The heart of the museum is the main exhibition located 14 meters underground, where you can admire nearly 2,000 exhibits. The exhibitions are prepared using modern solutions friendly to every age group. A special exhibition dedicated to the life of a Warsaw family during the occupation has also been prepared for the youngest visitors.
